Rediscovering Gloria: The Magic of Self-Love ✨
While waiting in line at an amusement park, I watched a little girl taking selfies. 📸 Each time she looked at the camera, she was enchanted by what she saw. She smiled, her eyes twinkled. ✨ She tilted her head, practicing different gazes and expressions.
She was clearly loving herself, believing in her beauty and worthiness. She positively shined with confidence. She was radiant. 💖
Then, her parents came along. They took the phone, and just like that, the moment was gone. ⏳ As she walked away with her family, something had changed.
Her once-vibrant face now seemed average. Her hair, once full of life, now appeared limp and colorless. She was just an ordinary 10-year-old girl—awkwardly growing into herself, but now... different. 😔
All the sparkle had left her little self. 💫 As soon as she stepped into other people’s energy, she somehow became less. The magic faded. The confidence disappeared. The radiance dimmed. 🌑
I think of her often. The minutes I observed were precious. 💛
I named her Gloria.
🌟 We Are All Gloria
We are all a little like Gloria—doused by the unseeing imaginations of others. They don’t see our magic. They don’t recognize our Gloriousness. ✨
Yet, when we’re born, we instinctively know we deserve love. We don’t need to look a certain way, perform a certain way, or prove ourselves worthy.
We exist, and so we are infinitely lovable. 💕
But little by little, that changes.
Our value is whittled away by the expectations of the world. 🌍
Before long, we stop smiling at our reflection. Our sparkle dulls. We aren’t pretty enough, smart enough, strong enough, skinny enough... enough-enough. 😞
We become ordinary, and how valuable is an unremarkable girl?
An ordinary woman? 🤔
This is the beginning of what so many of us experience as self-doubt—the kind that chips away at us over time. The kind that makes us forget the truth about who we really are.
💭 What If We Remembered?
What if we stepped back in time to our baby days—those moments when we smiled freely, fully anticipating love?
What if we embraced inner child healing and started building self-worth from within? 🦋
What if we remembered:
✅ We don’t have to earn love.
✅ We don’t have to be extraordinary.
✅ We don’t have to prove our worth.
We just BE—and we are loved. 💖
This is how to practice self-love—by remembering what’s always been true.
🌿 Finding Self-Worth Again
Overcoming self-doubt and breaking free from self-criticism is a journey, but it starts with recognizing our own uniqueness. 🌟
When we practice self-acceptance, we begin to rediscover the confidence for women that society often erodes.
💡 Look at yourself the way Gloria did before the world dimmed her sparkle.
✨ Smile at your reflection.
💛 Know that you are lovable just as you are.
You don’t have to become anyone else.
You don’t have to prove your greatness.
You already are.
💫 Feeling lovable, because I am.
And so are YOU. 💕
